Note: On 10 Jan 2009, I received an email from a descendant of John Walker with information that his full name was John Wesley Walker and with a different death date. That email follows: Lannie, I've enjoyed all the info you've posted regarding Sampson Walker. I think I'm a relative, but the information I have is not documented so I decided to email you in hopes you might know. My 3rd great grandfather is John Wesley Walker, who died in Itawamba County, MS in 1850. The information I've found on the internet lists John Wesley as a son of Samuel Walker who died in Perry County, Al in 1833. John Wesley Walker did marry his wife Mary McCain in Perry County, Al. in 1830, but beyond that I have nothing that ties him to your line. Do you have documentation for Samuel Walker's children. Thanks for your help. Margaret White Hi Margaret, Yes John Wesley Walker was my gret grandfather's older brother although I never knew what his middle name was. Samuel had a son by his 2nd wife who was named Wesley Waymon Walker. I don't think that I jave ever known where John Wesley died either. There was a legend that he was also poisoned by his step brothers but we have never had anything to support that claim. Have you visted my web site. I may have something posted on it about John. If you will send me all that you have on him, I will add it to my web site and add his name to my keyword list so that Google (or Yahoo, etc) searches will make a hit on it. My web site URL is listed at the bottom of this email. I look forward to hearing more from you, another Samuel Walker descendant discovered. Regards, Lannie
